Paginate your records into an InDesign text flow as anchored boxes (or as plain text if you prefer); at positions specified by your data source, such as page number, X and Y position; or create a layout grid using page guides and watch EasyCatalog position your records at the intersections.

Offering three types of pagination, the Pagination Module is ideal for publications that are data-driven, or those where the data decides how and where each record should appear.

Configure templates that define how each record should appear, and EasyCatalog will automatically position them on the document. The template used to set each record can also be determined at pagination time by indicators in the data which is ideal when your data has an associated 'style' field. You can also specify templates for the pagination of groups, so for instance, you can automatically insert headers into the document.

The running order of records is determined by the EasyCatalog panel - use the sorting, grouping and filtering features to create the sequence of records to paginate.

• Flow-based Pagination
So named because it flows Product Styles into a standard InDesign text flow with each Product Style appearing as an anchored box. By applying pagination rules, via the EasyCatalog Pagination Rules panel, individual boxes in the style can be configured to expand or contract to fit the amount of content.

This simplest form of pagination, yet one of the most powerful, flow-based pagination is suitable for many applications where records are simply flowed into the document one after another. If data is grouped in the panel, EasyCatalog can also insert Product Styles for each of the groups, allowing group headers to be inserted, for example.

• Positional Pagination
Where you data contains positional information, such as X and Y co-ordinates, EasyCatalog will position your record templates on the document automatically.

• Guide-based Pagination
Each record or group is positioned at the intersection of page guides - create a grid defining where you would like each record positioned.
